About the Author

Dina Younis is a Palestinian-American writer, content creator, podcaster, and lifelong thrifter based in Akron, Ohio. 

Growing up in a family and culture that embraced the value of secondhand, she learned the power of thrifting and resourcefulness at a young age when living in Amman, Jordan.

Dina has since become a trusted voice in the thrifting community, sharing expert tips, inspiration, and insights into the world of secondhand and sustainability through her digital platforms Dina's Days and Thanks, it's Thrifted podcast. 

S is for Secondhand is Dina’s debut children’s book, written to spark conversations about reuse, generosity, and creativity. Inspired by her own kids and her colorful lifestyle, the book is a celebration of all things secondhand.

Nadia Alnashar is a Syrian illustrator based in Akron, Ohio with a passion for storytelling through rich textures and intricate details.
